Safety Officer Trained as Red Cross Instructor

In order to provide more efficient and effective training for our personnel and sub-contractors, A. R. Chesson Construction Corporate Safety Director Andy Holliman recently attended the American Red Cross Instructor course for CPR, AED and First Aid. Being able to provide training when and where it’s needed is a high priority for us, both in safety for our personnel and to comply with OSHA requirements.  The two day class was held at the American Red Cross District Office in Raleigh and was taught by a Red Cross Master Instructor Trainer.

The class focused on the participant’s ability to perform emergency care, and their ability to impart their knowledge and experience to their students. Personnel must recertify in First Aid and CPR every 2 years. OSHA requires that at least one person on every jobsite possess a current CPR and First Aid certification.
