Construction of the new bridge tender’s house on the new eastbound Camden Causeway drawbridge over the Pasquotank River in Elizabeth City NC hit a major milestone recently. A. R. Construction was onsite coordinating placement of the roof structure as it was lifted into place. Plans call for opening the new drawbridge and starting renovation work on the westbound drawbridge by June 2015. The current bridge tender’s house will be removed from the westbound drawbridge during the renovation work.
