This projects renovates and expands the existing visitor center at Jockey’s Ridge State Park. The renovations primarily focus on the visitor experience, remaking the exhibit and lobby area. Select openings are cut into existing exterior and interior walls to increase natural light, connectivity, and visibility. The entry grows outward beneath the existing soffit to increase the lobby area, and a new canopy reaches out to welcome and orient visitors. The addition expands the existing office wing to aid staff operations, freeing up interior space to increase the size of the lobby.
